Arts & Crafts Oak Writing Table / Desk
The desk: An arts & Crafts oak writing table / desk dating circa 1900. The desk has a distinctive overhanging top with shaped brackets, over a single drawer, subtle reverse tapering legs terminating in flaired feet. This is a quality example constructed with selected cuts of quarter sawn oak. The center, tooled leather, section of the top pulls out to reveal a raising stationary rack.

Condition: Shown prior to being refinished to a golden oak colour. This desk is offered in excellent refinished condition.

Pair of Arts & Crafts Corner Chairs
The chairs: A pair of Arts & Crafts rush seated corner chairs attributed to William Birch of High Wycombe dating c.1900.

Condition: Shown prior to restoration, these chairs are offered fully restored: Frames tightened,polished and seats re-rushed.

Dimensions: Seat height 16", back height 27.5". The seat is 16" square. The diagonal depth is 22.5" and the diagonal width is 24".

The chair: An Arts & Crafts oak tub chair retailed by Liberty & Co as the "Stanmore" chair and is illustrated in the Yuletide gifts catalogue of 1900 .

Condition: Offered in very good original condition. The drop-in rush seat has been re-rushed in recent years and is in excellent order.

The cabinet: A Heals oak bureau bookcase cabinet dating from the 1920s. No label. The cabinet has a glazed bookcase section over an unusual fall front revealing a fitted interior and a two door cabinet with compartmentalised interior. Original keys and working llocks.

Arts & Crafts Bonheur du Jour / Writing Table - E.A. Taylor
An Arts & Crafts oak bonheur du jour / writing table attributed to E.A. Taylor and most probably made by Shapland & Petter. Hinged top enclosing a leather writing surface and compartments which rise with the fold-out action. Two frieze drawers (one with working lock and key).

Condition: Restored & refinished.

Arts & Crafts Wolverine "Cadillac" Desk Table
An Arts & Crafts Cadillac Desk-table by the Wolverine Manufacturing Company of Detroit. The large drawer provides the desk space with its original inkwell and pen groove. Storage is beneath the deask lid. The drawer is counterbalanced to prevent tipping and runs on nickel-plated steel slides which operates as smoothly as when it was first manufactured circa 1910.

Condition: Original finish revived.

Nest of Three Cotswold School Oak Occasional Tables
The tables: A nest of three oak occasional side tables constructed in well figured quarter sawn oak attributed to Gordon Russell c.1925. No label but there is an impressed catalogue number to the underside of each table. See Good Citizens Furniture by Annette Carruthers and Mary Greensted pg.148 for similar.

The bookcases: A matched pair of open bookcases by Heal's c.1910. No label but these bookcases are illustrated in the Heal's cottage furniture catalogue. Constructed in solid well figured quarter sawn oak.

Condition: Offered in excellent refinished condition.

Dimensions: Each bookcase stands 47" tall, 15" wide and 6.5" deep. The shelf heights are (from the bottom up): 9", 8.5", 8.5" and 7.75".
